Christopher Dixon

Christopher Dixon
Is a managing director at Gabelli Group Capital Partners where he was overseeing private equity and early stage investments in media. A former Managing Director and Global Sector Strategist for Media at UBS Warburg, Dixon has analyzed the media industry for over 18 years and was a ten year member of Institutional Investor’s All American Research team. He has served as an advisor to NBC, Viacom, CBS, Clear Channel, Dreamworks and was the executive producer for UBS PaineWebber’s annual Media Conference. He lectures as an adjunct professor in finance at NYU’s Stern School of Business where he also serves as an advisor to the Stern EMT program. Prior to Wall Street, Mr. Dixon worked as an independent film and television producer. He produced and directed television specials for public television and developed series programming for the networks, which included projects with Zoetrope Studios, The New York Shakespeare Festival, and Columbia Pictures Television. He received his MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1986, and is a 1969 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Garrett J. Girvan
Has extensive experience in the Internet and telecommunications industries where he has held senior positions in both operations and finance in large publicly traded companies and smaller start-ups. He was the Chief Operating Officer at SoftNet Systems Inc., a San Francisco based Internet service provider. He launched its cable modem entity, The ISP Channel, targeted to small & mid size cable operators through out the US. SoftNet later launched a WI FI service targeted to business travelers in major airports, hotels and convention centers. He managed a successful secondary offering for $150 million led by Credit Swiss. Prior to that Garrett was the Chief Operating Officer at Viacom Cable serving 1.4 million customers and producing over $400 million revenue per year. He was also the moving force behind the creation of local sports channels in the SF Bay Area and Pacific Northwest and the expansion of advertising interconnects in both markets. Garrett earned his accounting stripes and a CPA at Price Waterhouse. He also served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. He received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University and an MBA from New York University.

K.C. Hildreth

K.C. Hildreth
Mr. Hildreth has founded or co-founded eight companies over the past 25 years. Most recent was MarketTiger, Inc, an Internet startup currently in its second round of funding. In 2000 he co-founded GoldPocket Interactive, an interactive television company that was sold in 2005 for $90 million. At Goldpocket he held roles of CTO, COO and was the principle driver in building a high performance culture recognized for developing a superior management team. He has a wide range of experience including fund-raising, technical architecture, strategy development, operations, marketing and sales. Companies he has founded include a publishing firm, a trade association, 2 charity groups, a consultancy, an interactive technology company and an Internet startup and has worked as a senior technology and strategy manager for Renaissance Worldwide and Sapient Corporation. K.C. has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, an MS in Management Information System from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, and a BA in Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is also currently completing an MA in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica (2010).

David Raphel

David Raphel
One of the most respected names in the domestic and international entertainment community. He served as President of 20th Century-Fox International, and was later appointed Sr. Vice-president, World-wide Marketing, Feature Films division. Among the projects approved for production during his tenure were “STAR WARS,” “THE OMEN” and “SILVER STREAK”. He became Director General of ICM (Europe) and was elected President of ICM (LA). In 1980, he formed Cambridge Film Group Ltd., which co-produced films with Warner Bros, and MGM/UA. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Some sixty Academy Awards (Oscars) were attributed to films during his tenure at 20th Century-Fox.
